[edit] Background
Athos was one of the eight fighters chosen to defeat the Divine Weapons; weapons forged for the sole purpose of defeating Dragons. He was given the Anima tome Forblaze, Hellfire's Truth, and used it the Scouring. After the war, he and Bramimond sealed the Divine Weapons to prevent disaster. He then retired to the Nabata desert, where he met Nergal and founded the ancient city of Arcadia where humans and dragons lived in harmony. After Nergal was discovered harnessing the power of Quintessence, Athos, along with the citizens of Arcaida regretfully attempted to kill him after failing to persuade him to stop.
Centuries later, Athos allowed Count Pent of Etruria to learn under him and lived with Pent's wife, Lady Louise. He is aware of most happenings on Elibe and requests Hawkeye to greet Eliwood and his entourage when they arrive at Nabata.
