Brigand

Brigands are fighters who wield Axes and excel at mountain combat. They are among the few units able to cross mountain tiles without the aid of wings. They are usually enemy units, however, in some games, there have been playable Brigands.

Brigands were first introduced in Fire Emblem: Monshō no Nazo, although there were playable characters of that class. Brigands were playable in Fire Emblem: Thracia 776 and the succeeding game, Fire Emblem: Fūin no Tsurugi, however, they have not been playable since. Brigands have also been called Mountain Thieves and Bandits in certain games.
