Edward is a member of the Dawn Brigade. While his youth and inexperience tend to make him a reckless swordsman, his sunny disposition makes him hard to dislike. Leonardo tries to teach him a sense of responsibility.

Personality

Edward is cheery, upbeat, and naive. He is the sword user of the Dawn Brigade. He does not seem very smart, as he believes that Daein is doing the right thing siding with Begnion because King Pelleas says so. He believes his growth in skill is high, as he says that by the time the group returns to Nevassa, he'll be invincible. Edward is a skilled swordsman nonetheless, and he possibly ends up becoming a Trueblade, and arguably the best one.

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn

Edward first appears with Micaiah waiting for Leonardo in Nevassa. Soon, bandits start to invade the town, prompting the duo (eventually trio) into protecting the town and defeating the bandits. Edward continues to fight with the Dawn Brigade throughout Part I, liberating Daein. In Part III Chapter 6, he receives his personal sword Caladbolg, one of the strongest swords in the game.

In Part IV, Edward fights with the Silver Army if left unchanged, but can also fight with the other armies as well. His use in the Silver Army is limited by the Grann Desert, and the Hawk Army's Swamp map in Chapter 5 also hurts him, so he fits well with the Greil Army, as many units do.

At the end of the game, Edward lives as a normal townsperson in Nevassa, despite Micaiah's wishes. He would visit Daein Keep often to bring good news.
