Elena is the mother of Ike and Mist. Not long after the Serenes Massacre, Elena was in Daein helping the ill Heron Princess, Lillia. Before Lillia passed away, she gave Elena Lehran's Medallion and taught her the Galdr of Release. Elena passed this song down to her daughter Mist. Elena's husband, Greil, touched Lehran's Medallion, causing him to go berserk and kill Elena. After Elena's death, Mist took Lehran's Medallion and was safe from it's power upon touching it.
