Elphin is a member of one of the rebel groups of the Western Isles. He is a Bard and a brilliant tactician.
[edit] Appearance
Elphin has long, golden hair. His face always seems filled with sadness, and his facial image in the game shows his eyes closed and his face facing downwards, as if in sadness. He first appears in Chapter 10b of Fire Emblem 6. If Lalum is acquired in Chapter 10a, Elphin tells the Augurys.
[edit] Story
Elphin first appears in Chapter 10b. He was found wounded by Ward's sister, who nursed him back to health. He later escapes, knowing the corrupted Etrurian nobles would destroy the village to find him.
Once the head of the area is defeated and the castle is claimed, Elphin makes his presence known to Roy and Merlinus. He tells them that if Etruria is corrupt, the reason they would want Roy and the army to examine the Western Isles was so Lycias defenses were broken, so they could be invaded. Merlinus panics, but Roy keeps a calm head. Elphin later says he had devised that rumor to test whether Roy was a competent commander. He requests to join Roy's army, and is accepted, as a tactician. He helps Roy in the next chapter to rescue prisoners from the Mines of Death
