Plot
The following page contains spoilers. So, if you don't want to know stuff like how Ike is the main lord in FE9, just move along.
Lyn's Mode
Lyn, of the Sacaean Lorca tribe, finds Mark, a wandering tactician who collapsed outside her hut. While taking care of him, they are attacked by bandits. With Mark's help, Lyn manages to rout them. They make a pact to travel together.
In Bulgar, Sacae's capital, Lyn meets two Lycian knights, Kent and Sain, who believe that she is Marquess Hausen of Caelin's long lost granddaughter. They set off to escort Lyn to Caelin, while fending off bandits and soldiers led by Lord Lundgren, Marquess Hausen's brother who wishes to usurp the throne.
Eliwood's Mode
A year after the Caelin campaigns of Lyn's story, Eliwood's tale begins shortly after the kidnapping of said hero's father, the Marquess of Pherae. In an effort to find and rescue him, Eliwood enlists the help of several Pheraen knights and townsfolk. However, after the young lord is joined by his friend and ally Hector, the two discover a plot that is more volatile and threatening then either of them could have ever realized.
Hector's Mode
Set during the same events of Eliwood's story, Hector's follows the lord of Ostia's point of view as he leaves his home, brother and friends in an effort to find Eliwood and assist in the rescue of his father.
