Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon (ファイアーエムブレム 新・暗黒竜と光の剣, Faiā Emuburemu Shin Ankoku Ryū to Hikari no Ken, lit. Fire Emblem: New Dragon of Darkness and the Sword of Light) is the eleventh game in the Fire Emblem series, released in 2008 by Nintendo, and developed by Intelligent Systems. It is an enhanced remake of the first game, Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryū to Hikari no Ken, released 18 years ago.

It has been shown to bring back characters who were absent from Fire Emblem: Monshō no Nazo, as well as introduce new ones. Newer features such as the Weapon Triangle and Weapon levels have been implemented in the remake.

One hundred years ago, the Dolhr Empire launched an invasion of the Archanea continent. A young hero from Altea, a boy called Anri wielding the divine Falchion, defeated the leader of the Doluan Empire, the Shadow Dragon Medeus.

One hundred years later, Medeus has returned to the land and has joined forces with the demon king Gharnef. Together they attack Archanea once again. The burden falls to the exiled Prince Marth of Altea, who must set out to defeat Medeus in order to restore peace on Archanea.
