Grado is the southernmost country on the continent of Magvel, which appears in Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. In its game appearance, Grado is the strongest military power in the continent, and has good relations with its neighbour, Renais. However, at the beginning of Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, it launches a surprise attack on Renais and seizes it.

Wyverns are indigenous to this country and are used as mounts for its soldiers. Its military is led by six generals, whose names are based off precious stones. At the end of the game, it is hit by an earthquake which destroys most of the country. Prince Ephraim of Renais leads relief efforts towards the nation.
