Jarod is the boss of Part 1's endgame. He is a Halberdier that also appeared in Part 1: Chapter 9 - One Survives as the boss. Jarod had been hired as a general from Begnion to deal with the Dawn Brigade. He was very intent upon killing/ capturing Micaiah. After hearing that Begnion's empress Sanaki was planning to send an investigation team to investigate Begnion's abuses against Daein, Jarod became desperate and went after Micaiah when she was lying in the shade just outside of camp. However, before Jarod was able to kidnap or kill Micaiah, the Black Knight comes and shields Micaiah against the oncoming attack. After the chapter itself, the Black Knight is going to deal a killing blow to Jarod, but his staff officer and friend, Alder, goes in front of the Black Knight and shields Jarod from the killing blow, sacrificing himself in the process. The Black Knight and Micaiah let Jarod get away to bury his friend, and thy go back to camp. Jarod appears in the next chapter, which is Part 1's Endgame.
