Julian

Julian is a character in Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon (sometimes referred to as FEDS), and the first of only two available Thieves (the other being Rickard), joining the party alongside Lena in Chapter 3. He turned his back on the Soothsires, a group of mountain bandits he was once a part of, in order to help Lena escape. The two are implied to be a couple. Julian once employed his fellow thief Rickard, and is said by Rickard to be quite the ladies' man.

Gameplay

Julian's role as a Thief is to unlock doors, connect bridges, and unlock chests. Julian cannot promote or reclass, but has a maximum level of 30. His base stats are below average and his growth rates are very high. He is only capable of using Swords.

The Julian Archetype

Julian started the Julian archetype, a trend of characters in the Fire Emblem games. These characters are usually thieves who have good growths but are mostly useful for pilfering items. Julians usually come early in the game, have light hair, and have ties with the Lena and/or Navarre character.
