[edit] Biography

Lon'qu was first born in Chon'sin where he lived out his childhood. Support conversations reveal that during this time he faced a terrible tragedy. The story goes that Lon'qu had a friend by the name of Ke'ri, a girl living in the same town that he was raised. During a bandit attack, Ke'ri was killed by thugs as Lon'qu failed to defend her, after which Ke'ri's parents blamed him for her death. Shortly after he fled Chon'sin and traveled to Ferox where he trained to be a great swordsman, trying to forget about the horrors of his past. Eventually he caught the attention of Basilio who made him his champion in the Ferox Tournament, up until he was defeated by "Marth".

[edit] Personality

Lon'qu is a very quiet guy who enjoys his own company and dislikes compliments. Following the events of his childhood, he grew in fear of women thinking that if he were to get involved with one that she would be killed like the girl from his past. During his support conversations with any of the female characters in the game, his fear is apparent in his hesitance to communicate. He also speaks highly of Basilio, saying how great a fighter he is and how he wishes to be like him.

[edit] Recruitment

Lon'qu is first recruited to the Shepherds when Chrom and company decide to pay a visit to Ferox seeking aid during the war. Chrom agrees to the terms of the proud people of Ferox, by battling their champion in the Arena Ferox to gain their respect. Since Lon'qu was defeated by "Marth", "Marth" is now the champion Chrom must face in battle. Chrom battles "Marth" and claims victory, allowing Basilio and the country of Ferox to give them their aid. After this, as part of the aid promised, Basilio decides to give Lon'qu over to Chrom's party. Lon'qu is automatically recruited at the end of Chapter 4: Two Falchions.
