Lyon is the prince of Grado. He Was good friends with Eirika and Ephraim. He would success the throne from his father, King Vigarde. He is a gentle person who only wants to be strong for his people. Lyon first appears in a flashback.

His experiments with the Fire Emblem intended to save his dying father, instead it gave rise to the Demon King. His mind was twisted by the dark stone, and he proceeded to control his father's reanimated corpse and command Grado to invade Renais so he could destroy the Sacred Stone there. Lyon is the only Necromancer in the game, and is recruited during Creature Campaign.
