 All-Around Awesome Dude
Ogma (sometimes Oguma) is the captain of the group given to Marth as bodyguards after Marth and his knights save the island of Talys from invading pirates. His fellows are Barst, Bord, and Cord. The entire group remains faithful to both Marth and Princess Caeda for the duration of the game. Ogma is especially loyal to Princess Caeda, and he does whatever she asks.
 Strengths and Talents
Ogma, like the rest of the group received after Chapter One, is quite excellent. Though his HP is only particularly high growth he has, his average growths give you a well balanced unit that is both defense and offensive. He will outclass every other character in the game who starts as a mercenary or hero easily, but is usually outclassed by Barst if you class train him. As he can wield an Armorslayer , he will be quite useful during the opening chapters of the game when bosses are often knights. Ogma will be one of your best units for the duration of the game and (although he's not extremely talented in any individual statistic), his well-roundedness will help him in multiple combat situations. Many players complain that he is much worse than he was in FE1.

 The Ogma Archetype
Ogma is the first in the Ogma archetype. This archetype consists of characters usually received as mercenaries, with excellent all-around growths and usually amazing final statistics. Ogmas are usually among the most popular units in the games they are in.
