Pirate
From Fire Emblem - Wiki on Neoseeker
Pirates are fighters who wield Axes and excel at naval combat. They are among the few units able to cross water tiles without the aid of wings. They are usually enemy units, however, in some games, there have been playable Pirates.
While Pirates were introduced in the first game, along with a playable pirate, Daros, Pirates were absent in Fire Emblem Gaiden, and in Fire Emblem: Monshou no Nazo, there were no longer any playable pirates. Pirates continued to be enemy-only until the release of Fire Emblem: Fuuin no Tsurugi. In Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, Pirates were once again absent, but were reincluded with the release of Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon.
