Rolf is one of the younger members of the Greil Mercenaries. He joins early in the first game because he's afraid that his older brothers; Oscar and Boyd are going to get hurt. Rolf uses a bow and arrow to strike enemies from afar, and becomes a much useful unit in the second game, opposed to the first.

Rolf is a happy-go-lucky kid. He is usually excited about things, but dislikes fighting. He worries about his two brothers, and stays on the battle field so that he can help protect them from afar. He also becomes great friends with Mist who is about his age.
