An ominous wave of dark creatures washes over the continent... Eirika's journey to find her brother, Ephraim, grows ever more perilous. Still, she presses on despite the danger. Her will is strong. The town of Serafew, located on the border of Renais and Grado. The people of both countries have long used the town as a meeting place. It stands as testimony to the friendship the two nations have shared these many years. Now, however, Serafew is teeming with Grado troops.

Continuing her journey onward to Grado, Eirika encounters a town she knows well. While here, she meets Natasha, a grado priest who defected when seeing what had happened to her king, Vigarde. Natasha bears the secrets of his being taken over by the Demon King and flees from Grado troops to tell the world of his plans. Without Eirika and company arriving on site, Natasha may have never made it out alive.

This chapter is only particularly difficult if one is trying to get to every village.

Bandits will appear to the far right from where Eirika and company start, so having someone over their hastily to kill them off is useful. Advancing Eirika and Natasha north towards Joshua is also a clever move. Joshua will not attack Natasha, so kill off the enemies around him and have her recruit him.

Meanwhile, magic users like Lute and Artur should take the far left route towards the north villages. Gilliam, Garcia or Ross are good units to tank in front of them.

Slowly make your way north, being sure to keep an eye on the bandits that will appear and Joshua's killing edge. Once Joshua is recruited and the bandits are killed, this chapter should pose no threat. There is an arena that Seth or another unit can utilize for quick and easy money.
