Vanessa is a Frelian Pegasus Knight; her pegasus is named Titania. . She is younger sister to Syrene and loyal knight to Hayden, the king of Frelia.

Vanessa, despite Frelia's lack of soldiers, is given to Eirika as a 'loyal soldier' to help her through her travels. She arrives along with Moulder and Gilliam, other trusted knights of Hayden.

Vanessa is admittingly jealous of her older sister, Syrene, who excels in combat skills and leadership. Ironically, though, Syrene is also jealous of Vanessa for her cool mind and ability to keep calm in the most stressful situations.

Vanessa has an interest in Forde, which can be found through support conversations. Whether her interest is solely love based or not is a mystery.
