In Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Astrid is a minor character with the starting class Bow Knight, which can be promoted to Bow Paladin. Astrid can be recruited in chapter 13 by talking to her with Ike. In chapter 13, she can also be used to recruit Gatrie, who was an original member of the Greil Mercenaries, but left in disgust at the thought of being led by Ike. Astrid comes from a royal family, which leads to several other characters calling her a "blueblood" several times in the storyline. Astrid joins Ike's group on a journey to see what really is in the world, because being born as an aristocrat really didn't teach her much about the world. Astrid can support Gatrie, Sothe, and Makalov.

[edit] Part II

Astrid first appears in Part II: Chapter 3, Geoffrey and the Crimean Royal Knights invade Felirae castle in hopes of arresting Ludveck. She fights with the rest of the knights in the chapter, and also appears as reinforcements in Part II: Endgame, along with Geoffrey, Danved, Makalov, Marcia, and Kieran, as well as two Ally knights. She is incredibly weak when she is playable, and comes in as a level 2 Bow Paladin, with Paragon and Canto.

[edit] Part III

Astrid reappears ten chapters later, in Part III: Chapter 9. She and the Royal Knights help defend a Crimean town from the Begnion army. Afterwards, in the next chapter, she appears as a guard to Queen Elincia, and joins Ike's army next chapter, for the rest of the part.

[edit] Part IV

After most of the people have been petrified, Yune makes the Dawn Brigade and Laguz Alliance join forces. Astrid is on the Hawk Army, lead by Tibarn, by default, along with the rest of the Royal Knights. She can be switched to one of the other teams, but her use is limited by a desert, an indoor battlefield, and a swamp for each army. She shares this problem with the rest of the horse-mounted units. Astrid can promote to a Silver Knight at level 21, or with a Master Crown
