Caesar and Radd are mercenaries who work for a port town that Marth visits to stock up on goods. When the town is attacked, the pair are sent by the townsfolk to aid Marth in the battle against the Dolhr/Grust allied forces. They remain with Marth for the rest of the game.

[edit] Strengths and Talents

Caesar is underrated because he comes halfway through the game at level three; most people decide not to train him because of this, and he often ends up on the sidelines. He, however, has great growths (especially HP, with a 90% growth), except for two stats that are his Achilles' heel (as it were). His terrible Luck and Defense growths make him fragile and easily damaged, and he'll rely heavily on your curate. With only a 15% growth rate in defense, he'll probably end up with defense comparable to characters like Navarre and Caeda, who can't take hits well. Also, his luck only has a growth of 20; combined with his low defense and average speed, he'll be taking hits most of the time and will need attention. If you want another Mercenary after Ogma, Caesar is the one to use, but in the end, he isn't as good as others and just wastes time on training. He may be good offensively, but defensively he fails.
